1st render for Crew of a few logo introduction - Freelance work for a production company in Manchester - This will be revisited once ive contacted the company - in process

Test shot - Quick fly thru/pan camera animation. I intend on making a number of shots including passing through the building and adding a soundtrack. i will cut and edit the different shots and add the ‘fold out’ text to complete my animation. Sadly something went wrong with the render at the beginning of the animation, causing it lag slightly

3D text with materials layered on the left face of the building - I intend on animating this text into the scene, forming the structure of the building over time.
          The words i have used represent the feeling and atmosphere that this new learning environment will bring to the Salford University.

A quick animation made in After Effects which will later be composited into 3D studio max to complete my fly through animation. Here the text is black, once i have imported this piece into my 3D environment i will use the proboolean tool to subtract the text to create a hollow space where the background will be visible.

This is the architects render of the Arts building, scheduled to be built in the summer of 2013. Sadly this is the only view available so i have to work with what i have. I want to create a number of still renders and a few animations, both promoting the new building and describing the ethos behind it.

The first look at my house with the walls and roof added in - textures and fine details will be made when possible

We were asked to build a house by our tutor - I began by building the windows and frames in order to build the house around them, as they play an integral part of the building.

Again an unfinished piece of work, but once i have learn textures i will stylise the telescope.

This is the first object i have created using 3D Studio Max - Once i have learnt how to use and add textures i will edit the pencil

// Choosing the brief //

I have decided to answer the Typographic Geometric brief as i feel this is most suited to my current skill set, and is also the brief that most interests me. I will begin by researching into a number of different 3D forms of 3D typography from Graffiti to Television stings. I will also experiment with a number of 3D software packages in order to create the desired effect.

Firstly i will experiment with 3D S max, both with geometry and typography for this brief. I began using 3D Studio Max a few weeks ago and i am becoming more familiar with the software and layout. I may also use elements from Adobe Illustrator, or a motion tracking software such as Syntheyes.
